Lufkin came tearing into Friday's match with four straight wins , and they left with even more momentum. Everything went their way against the Texas Tigers as they made off with a 3-0 victory. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Panthers also won the last time the pair played back in October of 2024.

Lufkin never let Texas on the board, but things got pretty close in the third set. The final score came out to 25-21, 25-13, 25-23.

Lufkin's win bumped their record up to 20-4. As for Texas, they now have a losing record of 8-9.

Lufkin didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 2-1 victory against Gilmer on the 30th. As for Texas, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next game, a 2-1 defeat against Pine Tree on the 30th.
