Softball Recap: Thursday's Defeat Ends Columbus' Winning Streak

Columbus fell victim to Lone Tree and their airtight pitching crew on Thursday. They took a 5-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Lions. The Wildcats' defeat signaled the end of their three-game winning streak.

Columbus' loss dropped their record down to 9-8. As for Lone Tree, the victory (which was their eighth in a row) raised their record to 15-6.

Coming up, Columbus will be playing at home against Louisa-Muscatine at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. The Falcons will roll in looking for their 13th straight win, something the Wildcats surely won't give up without a fight. Lone Tree has already played their next game (against Hillcrest Academy), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
