Basketball Game Preview: Baker Braves vs. Lone Pine Golden Eagles

Baker hasn't had much luck against Lone Pine recently, but that could start to change on Wednesday. The Baker Braves will head out on the road to challenge the Lone Pine Golden Eagles at 5:00 p.m. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.

Baker is headed into Wednesday's game looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their third straight game on Monday. They were outmatched by Trona and fell 51-20.

Baker's loss shouldn't obscure the performances of Jimena Galvez, who went 5 of 11 on her way to 16 points, and Claudia Licona, who posted no points in addition to six rebounds, six steals, and three blocks. Licona is on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed two or more in the last nine games she's played.

Lone Pine played against Immanuel Christian and lost via forfeit.

Lone Pine's defeat was their seventh straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 0-8. As for Baker, their loss dropped their record down to 4-8.
