Football Game Preview: Tyler HEAT vs. King's Academy Knights

Tyler HEAT will square off against the King's Academy Knights at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday. Tyler HEAT has given up an average of 41.6 points per game this season, but Saturday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

Tyler HEAT is headed into Saturday's matchup looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their third straight games on Saturday. They took a blow against East Texas Homeschool Sports, falling 58-12. The contest marked Tyler HEAT's lowest-scoring game so far this season.

Meanwhile, King's Academy took their matchup back in September with ease, bagging a 40-8 win over Trinidad. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Knights.

Tyler HEAT better keep an eye on Jacob Pearce. He was instrumental in King's Academy's win, rushing for 191 yards and four TDs on only 11 carries, while also picking up 51 receiving yards and one touchdown. Those four rushing touchdowns gave Pearce a new career-high.

King's Academy didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off three passes before the game was over. The picks came courtesy of Sawyer Throckmorton and Cayden Adcock. Adcock also set a new season-high mark in total tackles with ten. Adam Huval was another major factor on D, making 21 total tackles (8.0 for loss) and defending one pass.

Tyler HEAT now has a losing record of 3-4. As for King's Academy, the victory got them back to even at 2-2.

Tyler HEAT was taken down by King's Academy 48-0 in their previous meeting back in October of 2023. Can Tyler HEAT avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
