Cook and Colquitt County are an even 5-5 against one another since September of 2017, but likely not for long. The Hornets are taking a road trip to challenge the Packers at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Cook will come into the match with an undefeated record on the line.

Colquitt County's hitters are going to have their work cut out for them on Tuesday: Cook hadn't allowed a single run the last five times they've hit the field. The Hornets' pitchers stepped up to hand Thomasville a 5-0 shutout on Monday. Those five runs were actually the fewest the Hornets have put up all season, but given the result they're probably not too concerned.

Meanwhile, Colquitt County came up short against Lee County on Tuesday, falling 12-5.

Colquitt County's loss dropped their record down to 1-1. As for Cook, their victory bumped their record up to 6-0.

Cook was able to grind out a solid win over Colquitt County in their previous matchup back in August of 2024, winning 9-6. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Hornets since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
