Baseball Recap: Covenant Christian Academy Has No Trouble Against North Georgia Homeschool

On Thursday, the Covenant Christian Academy Rams made easy work of the North Georgia HomeSchool Tribe and carried off an 11-2 victory. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Rams.

Bo Reid and Asher Bond made a splash while hitting and pitching. On the mound, Reid tossed three innings while giving up no earned runs off two hits. Meanwhile, Bond tossed three innings while giving up no earned runs off two hits. Furthermore, Reid didn't allow a single earned run, the first time he has blanked an opponent since back in March of 2024. At bat, Reid scored two runs and stole Three bases. while going 1-for-3, while Bond scored three runs and stole Three bases. while going 2-for-4. Reid is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as he's now snagged at least one in each of the last three games he's played dating back to last season.

In other batting news, Justin Barton was a standout: he got on base in all four of his plate appearances with three stolen bases and two RBI. Those three stolen bases gave him a new career-high. Ryan Kennedy was another key player, scoring two runs and stealing Two bases. while going 2-for-4.

Covenant Christian Academy always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .538. That was just more of the same: they've now posted an OBP of .500 or higher in seven consecutive matchups dating back to last season.

Covenant Christian Academy's win bumped their record up to 2-0. As for North Georgia HomeSchool, they dropped their record down to 2-8 with the defeat, which was their third straight on the road.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Covenant Christian Academy is headed away from home for the first time to square off against Kings Way Christian School at 3:00 p.m. on Friday. As for North Georgia HomeSchool, they will venture away from home to face off against Anderson C at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
