Perry lost against Grand View Christian on June 9th, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Monday. The Bluejays came up short against the Thunder, falling 12-1. The Bluejays' loss signaled the end of their three-game winning streak.

Perry saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Karagyn Whelchel, who went 1-for-2 with one double and one RBI.

Perry's defeat dropped their record down to 6-9-1. As for Grand View Christian, they pushed their record up to 17-5 with the win, which was their fifth straight at home.

Perry and Grand View Christian could both be facing uphill battles in their next games considering their disadvantage in the MaxPreps Iowa Rankings. The Bluejays (ranked 208th) will meet Urbandale (ranked 82nd) at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Grand View Christian will square off against Bondurant-Farrar at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday with a big rank disadvantage (86 vs. 24).
