Softball Recap: Mill Creek Takes a Loss

Mill Creek lost against Cambridge back in September of 2016, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Wednesday. The Hawks fell just short of the Bears by a score of 4-2.

Mill Creek saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Blair McClain, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with one run.

Mill Creek's loss dropped their record down to 5-3. As for Cambridge, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 8-1.

Mill Creek and Cambridge should be looking forward to their upcoming games as both have a sizable advantage in the MaxPreps Georgia Rankings. The Hawks will square off against Collins Hill at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday with a big rank advantage (30 vs. 155). Meanwhile, Cambridge (ranked 18th) will meet Centennial (ranked 199th) at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday.
