Basketball Game Preview: Ontario Christian Knights vs. King/Drew Golden Eagles

Having just played yesterday, the Ontario Christian Knights will jump right back in to play the King/Drew Golden Eagles at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Ontario Christian knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past ten contests -- so hopefully King/Drew likes a good challenge.

Ontario Christian saw some tournament action on Wednesday. They blew past Notre Dame (SO) 98-25. Fans of Ontario Christian have seen this all before: every one of the games they've played this season has ended in a blowout of 20+ points.

Ontario Christian got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Kaleena Smith out in front who almost dropped a triple-double with 32 points, nine assists, and nine steals. Smith's evening made it nine games in a row in which she has scored at least 22 points. Tatianna Griffin was another key player, going 12-for-21 en route to 27 points in addition to five assists and three steals.

They weren't the only ones working in the assist department: Ontario Christian was working as a unit and finished the game with 26 assists. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Notre Dame (SO) only racked up five.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask King/Drew). They took their game on Wednesday with ease, bagging an 89-9 win over Jordan. The Golden Eagles haven't had any issues with the Bulldogs recently, as the game was their sixth consecutive victory against them.

Ontario Christian's record now sits at 10-0. As for King/Drew, their record is now 7-0.
