Soccer Game Preview: Central vs. Fallbrook

The Central Spartans will head out to take on the Fallbrook Warriors at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. Neither team made it on the board the last time they hit the pitch, so they've probably got a bit of extra motivation.

Fallbrook will have to contend with a Central squad hungry for a victory, something the team hasn't seen since December 6. Central fell 2-0 to University City back in December of 2025. While losing is never fun, Central can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' California soccer rankings (they are ranked 814th, while University City are ranked 390th).

Meanwhile, Fallbrook kept a clean sheet against Sage Creek on Tuesday. They had just enough and edged out the Bobcats 1-0. The game was the first time Fallbrook have beaten Sage Creek on their pitch since December 27, 2018.

Fallbrook's one-goal win came courtesy of Natasha Taylor, who's now up to three this season.

Central's loss dropped their record down to 4-10-1. As for Fallbrook, their win bumped their record up to 3-4-1.
