Softball Recap: Towns County Takes a Loss

If Towns County was riding high fresh off their 17-0 takedown of Tallulah Falls on Monday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Indians lost 19-9 to the Rabun County Wildcats on Wednesday. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Wildcats this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 7-6 back in August.

Alaina Murphy was cooking despite her team's loss, going 3-for-5 with two runs, one triple, and two RBI. Another player making a difference was Reagan Rogers, who went 3-for-5 with two runs and two RBI.

Towns County has been struggling recently as they've lost five of their last six games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 2-6 record this season. As for Rabun County, they pushed their record up to 6-11 with the win, which was their third straight on the road.

Towns County has already played their next contest, a 9-1 loss against Lincoln County on the 11th. As for Rabun County, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next match, a 10-9 defeat against Oglethorpe County on the 11th.
