Basketball Recap: Oley Valley Comes Up Short

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Oley Valley can now relate to. They were beaten by the Governor Mifflin Mustangs 73-45 on Saturday. While losing is never fun, the Lynx can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Pennsylvania basketball rankings (they are ranked 437th, while the Mustangs are ranked 103rd).

Despite the loss, Oley Valley still got an impressive performance from Kadyn Rhoads, who posted 15 points and six rebounds. Lilyana Hare was another key player, putting up ten points.

This is the second loss in a row for Oley Valley and nudges their season record down to 14-9. As for Governor Mifflin, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 14-5 record this season.

Oley Valley will take on Kutztown at 7:00 p.m. on the 16th. Governor Mifflin does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
