Soccer Recap: Northgate Comes Up Short

Northgate was the 2-1 winner over Vacaville when they last played one another back in December of 2023, but their luck changed this time around. The Northgate Broncos fell 3-1 to the Vacaville Bulldogs on Tuesday. While losing is never fun, the Broncos can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' California soccer rankings (they are ranked 104th, while the Bulldogs are ranked 29th).

Northgate's goal came courtesy of Makena Oberbruner, who's now up to five this season.

Having lost for the first time this season, Northgate fell to 2-1-1. As for Vacaville, they pushed their record up to 7-1-2 with the win, which was their third straight on the road.

Northgate didn't take long to hit the pitch again: they've already played their next matchup, a 6-0 victory against Ygnacio Valley on the 9th. As for Vacaville, they also wasted no time getting back out on the pitch and have already played their next game, a 5-1 win against Rodriguez on the 9th.
