Football Recap: Thomas More Prep-Marian Falls Short of Smith Center in the Playoffs + How To Watch

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Thomas More Prep-Marian can now relate to. They fell 24-14 to the Smith Center Redmen on Friday. The Monarchs have struggled against the Redmen recently, as the game was their eighth consecutive lost matchup.

Carson Liles threw for 211 yards and one touchdown. Isaac Purinton was his top target, picking up 41 receiving yards.

Riley Griffin Powers was nothing short of spectacular for Smith Center: he rushed for 161 yards and one score on only 14 carries. Those 161 rushing yards gave Griffin Powers a new career-high. Brant Wilson was another key rusher, rushing for 136 yards and one TD.
