The Thomas A. Edison Owls's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Monday after their fifth straight loss. Their tough 53-28 defeat to High School of the Future might stick with them for a while.

High School of the Future can attribute much of their success to Jahanna Mitchell, who scored 21 points. Mitchell continues to roll, besting her previous point total in each of the last four games she's played. Makiyah Waters was another key contributor, scoring 11 points.

Thomas A. Edison's defeat was their fourth straight on the road, which bumped their record down to 2-6. As for High School of the Future, they now have a winning record of 3-2.

Thomas A. Edison will look to defend their home court on Wednesday against Roxborough at 3:15 p.m. Roxborough will be looking to extend their current seven-game winning streak. As for High School of the Future, they will head out on the road to face off against West Philadelphia at 3:15 p.m. on Wednesday. West Philadelphia's defense has only allowed 21.1 points per game this season, so High School of the Future's offense will have their work cut out for High School of the Future.
