Basketball Recap: North Penn-Mansfield Takes a Loss

North Penn-Mansfield lost against Troy back in February of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The North Penn-Mansfield Tigers were beaten by the Troy Trojans 71-30.

Troy's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Kailyn Sterling, who went 5 of 10 en route to 11 points along with eight rebounds and six assists. Sterling is also on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed two or more in the last seven games she's played. Raelyn Woodward also deserves some recognition as she posted her first assist of the season.

North Penn-Mansfield's defeat dropped their record down to 2-2. As for Troy, the win (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 9-4.

North Penn-Mansfield does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Troy, they will face off against Sayre at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The timing is sure in Troy's favor as the team sits on four straight wins at home while Sayre has been banged up by five consecutive losses on the road.
