Soccer Recap: Savannah Country Day Takes a Loss

Savannah Country Day entered their matchup against Richmond Hill on Tuesday without any home losses, but there's a first time for everything. The Hornets fell just short of the Wildcats by a score of 5-4. The result was an unpleasant reminder to Savannah Country Day of the 6-1 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in March of 2019.

Savannah Country Day's defeat dropped their record down to 10-3. As for Richmond Hill, the win (which was their fifth in a row) raised their record to 14-2.

Savannah Country Day and Richmond Hill should be looking forward to their upcoming games as both have a sizable advantage in the MaxPreps Georgia Rankings. The Hornets will take on Woodville-Tompkins at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday with a big rank advantage (28 vs. 375). Meanwhile, Richmond Hill (ranked sixth) will meet Benedictine (ranked 79th) at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
