Softball Recap: Decatur Beats Westminster for Their Eighth Straight Win

Decatur extended their winning streak to eight on Tuesday, bumping them up to 17-2. They were the clear victors by a 13-5 margin over the Westminster Wildcats. The Bulldogs might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won 13 matchups by seven runs or more this season.

As for Westminster, they now have a losing record of 12-13. As for they, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 12-13.

For Westminster's part, they saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Addie Tsang, who went a perfect 1-for-1 with one run and one RBI. Bristol Morton also deserves some recognition as she brought in her first RBI of the season.

Coming up, Decatur will look to defend their home field on Thursday against Pace Academy at 5:30 p.m. As for Westminster, they are taking a road trip to take on Paulding County at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. The Patriots will aim to continue their three-game streak of scoring more runs each contest than the last.
