Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Winters). Everything went their way against the Colusa RedHawks on Tuesday as the Winters Warriors made off with a 10-1 win. The Warriors might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won eight contests by three goals or more this season.

Their offense was hitting Colusa from everywhere, as five different players booted in a goal. Ava Muir Vickrey led that balanced group of strikers and accounted for three goals all by herself.

The victory was the third in a row for Winters, bringing their record for this year to 12-1. Those victories came thanks to their defensive effort, having only given up one goal over those three matches. As for Colusa, their loss dropped their record down to 1-5-1.

Coincidentally, Winters and Colusa will both be playing Pierce the next time they take the pitch. Colusa will head out to face Pierce at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday, while Winters will host them at 5:30 p.m. on January 21st.
