Baseball Recap: Coffee Snags Seventh Victory in Last Nine Games

It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but Coffee had no problem doing just that on Thursday. They had just enough and edged out the Winder-Barrow Bulldoggs 3-1. This was a revenge game for the Trojans: when they faced off against the Bulldoggs on Wednesday, they had to take a 7-6 loss.

Coffee is on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last nine games. That's provided a nice bump to their 19-13 record this season. Those wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 7.3 runs over those games. As for Winder-Barrow, they dropped their record down to 17-9 with the defeat, which was their third straight on the road.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: the Bulldoggs beat Coffee by a score of 4-1 later that day.
