Soccer Recap: Gridley Takes a Loss

Gridley was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss. They were a single goal away from ending the streak, but they lost a 2-1 heartbreaker at the hands of the Oroville Tigers. The Bulldogs were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Tigers earlier this season, when they won 2-0.

Gridley's goal came courtesy of Quetzalli Gutierrez, which was the first she's scored this season.

Gridley's defeat dropped their record down to 3-14-1. As for Oroville, their victory was their first in the league, bumping their league record up to 1-6 and their overall record up to 6-16.

Gridley didn't take long to hit the pitch again: they've already played their next game, a 5-1 loss against Corning on the 6th. As for Oroville, they also wasted no time getting back out on the pitch and have already played their next contest, a 4-0 defeat against Las Plumas on the 6th.
