Baseball Recap: West Forsyth Takes a Loss

After soaring to 12 runs the game before, West Forsyth was a bit more limited in their game on Tuesday. They fell just short of the Lassiter Trojans by a score of 4-2. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest defeat the Wolverines have suffered since April 4, 2024.

West Forsyth got a good showing from Seth Thornton, who didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only two hits while striking out eight over four innings pitched. Those eight strikeouts gave Thornton a new career-high.

At the plate, West Forsyth saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Sanders Dyer, who went 1-for-2 with one double. That double was Dyer's first of the season.

West Forsyth has traveled a rocky road recently having lost three of their last four matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 4-3 record this season. Lassiter now has a winning record of 4-3.
