Basketball Game Preview: Monache Marauders vs. Rancho Bernardo Broncos

The Monache Marauders will take on the Rancho Bernardo Broncos at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Both come into the game bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Monache is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Saturday. They came out on top against Portola by a score of 55-43. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Marauders.

Monache got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Shelley Andrade out in front who almost dropped a double-double with 16 points and nine rebounds. Andrade has been hot recently, having posted nine or more boards the last three times she's played. Another player making a difference was Milly Rojas, who almost dropped a double-double with 16 points and nine rebounds.

Meanwhile, Rancho Bernardo waltzed into their match on Saturday with two straight wins... but they left with three. They walked away with a 44-37 win over the Eagles.

Monache better keep an eye on Myla Jones. She was instrumental in Rancho Bernardo's win, putting up 15 points. Jones continues to improve, besting her previous point total in each of the last three games she's played. Keira Tokushige was another key player, earning nine points.

Monache pushed their record up to 25-8 with the victory, which was their 11th straight at home. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 59.9 points over those games. As for Rancho Bernardo, their win bumped their record up to 25-7.
