Soccer Recap: Union Pines Comes Up Short

Union Pines was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They lost 3-0 to the Harnett Central Trojans. While losing is never fun, Union Pines can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' North Carolina soccer rankings (they are ranked 431st, while Harnett Central are ranked 171st).

Union Pines' loss dropped their record down to 2-7. As for Harnett Central, the victory was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 7-2-1.

Coming up, Union Pines will take on Southern Lee at 6:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Harnett Central, they will face off against West Johnston at 6:30 p.m. on Monday. West Johnston's last five contests have been decided by no more than a goal, so don't be surprised if it's a close one.
