Recap: Burbank Titans vs. McClatchy Lions
The Burbank Titans suffered their biggest defeat yet this season on Wednesday. They were dealt a 76-16 loss at the hands of McClatchy. While losing is never fun, Burbank can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' California basketball rankings (they are ranked 1099th, while McClatchy is ranked 57th).
Aniyah Bufford and Larayna Osako-Cain certainly did their best on Wednesday to try and avoid the loss. Bufford scored seven points, while Osako-Cain scored six points.
Burbank has traveled a rocky road recently, as they've lost six of their last eight games, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-10 record this season. As for McClatchy, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 10-5.
Burbank will be playing at home against Grant at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. That game will pit two of the most dominant guards against one another: Samaya Dillard and Bufford. As for McClatchy, they will head out on the road to take on Kennedy at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Kennedy is also coming in off of a big victory, so somebody is in for a big reversal of fortune.
