Soccer Recap: Washington-Wilkes Takes a Loss

Washington-Wilkes managed to keep up with Towns County until halftime on Tuesday, but things quickly went downhill from there. The Tigers lost 5-0 to the Indians. Having soared to a lofty five goals in the game before, Washington-Wilkes' shutout was a dramatic turnaround.

Washington-Wilkes' defeat dropped their record down to 2-8. As for Towns County, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 10-1.

The future could be bright for both Washington-Wilkes and Towns County: their next opponents haven't had the best luck recently. The Tigers will try to hand Hart County their third-straight loss when the two meet at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Meanwhile, Towns County will look to extend Banks County's six-game losing streak when they meet at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
