Volleyball Recap: Penns Valley Area Wins Going Away Against Homer-Center

The Penns Valley Area Rams made easy work of the Homer-Center Wildcats on Monday and carried off a 3-0 victory. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Rams.

The final score came out to 25-15, 25-11, 25-19.

Several Wildcats players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Ashlyn Yount, who had 19 assists and four digs. Yount is crushing it when it comes to assists: she's posted at least 12 every time she's taken the court this season. The team also got some help courtesy of Emma-Lee Rouser, who had seven kills, six digs, two aces, and one block.

Penns Valley Area's win bumped their record up to 9-6. As for Homer-Center, they have been struggling recently as they've lost four of their last five matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 5-9 record this season.

Penns Valley Area has already played their next contest (against Philipsburg-Osceola), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. As for Homer-Center, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next game, a 3-1 victory against Portage on the 23rd.
