Football Recap: East Takes a Loss

East fell victim to Skyridge and their airtight defense on Friday. They were dealt a 68-0 defeat at the hands of the Falcons. The Leopards haven't had much luck with the Falcons recently, as the team has come up short the last three times they've met.

Kaneal Sweetwyne went supernova For Skyridge., throwing for 236 yards and four touchdowns while completing 85.7% of his passes, and also rushing for 68 yards and a pair of scores. Sweetwyne is crushing it when it comes to passing touchdowns: he's passed for at least four every time he's taken the field this season. Lincoln Tahi was another key player, gaining 82 total yards and a touchdown.

East's loss dropped their record down to 0-3. As for Skyridge, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 3-0.

Looking ahead, East will welcome Eastside Catholic at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Skyridge, they will head out on the road to face off against Highland at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
