Softball Recap: East Jackson Eagles vs. Oconee County Warriors
East Jackson was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They lost 10-2 to the Oconee County Warriors. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Warriors this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 17-0 on Wednesday.
East Jackson saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Reese Poelker, who went 1-for-2 with one run. That run was Poelker's first of the season.
East Jackson's defeat dropped their record down to 2-12. As for Oconee County, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 6-15.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming contests. East Jackson will challenge Prince Avenue Christian at 4:45 p.m. on Tuesday. The Wolverines' pitching crew has only allowed 2.6 runs per game this season, so the Eagles' hitters will have their work cut out for them. As for Oconee County, they are taking a road trip to challenge Monroe Area at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
