Moshannon Valley proved they can win big last Friday (they won by 35) and on Friday they proved they can win the close ones too. They had just enough and edged out the Glendale Vikings 14-12. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Black Knights/Damsels also won the last time the pair played back in September of 2024.

One reason for the win was Moshannon Valley's imposing defense, which managed to get into the backfield for three sacks. The team can thank three different players for their defensive prowess: JC Smith, Alex Reifer, and Gavin Lovell, who each picked up one sack apiece.

When it comes to explaining why Glendale lost, don't look at Gage Myers. Despite the final result, he rushed for 115 yards while picking up 7.2 yards per carry. Myers also put in work on the defensive side of the ball, picking up 0.5 sacks and making four total tackles (2.0 for loss).

The win got Moshannon Valley back to even at 2-2. As for Glendale, their loss was their sixth straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 0-4.

Moshannon Valley has already played their next game, a 34-19 defeat against Mount Union on the 19th. As for Glendale, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next match, a 33-0 victory against Southern Huntingdon County on the 19th.
