No. 1 IMG Academy vs. unbeaten East St. Louis and No. 6 St. Thomas Aquinas versus No. 10 American Heritage headlines strong slate.

Three heavyweight showdowns headline a loaded slate of games in Florida this weekend as No. 1 IMG Academy (Bradenton) travels to unbeaten East St. Louis (Ill.), No. 6 St. Thomas Aquinas (Fort Lauderdale) hosts No. 10 American Heritage (Plantation) and No. 22 Clearwater Central Catholic (Clearwater) battles St. Frances Academy (Baltimore, Md.).

IMG Academy has won five in a row following a season-opening loss to nationally-ranked Corner Canyon (Draper, Utah). The Ascenders have had a 21-day layoff since their last game when they took down No. 3 Venice 21-16 on Oct. 4. This will be the second meeting between the two teams as IMG Academy won 49-8 in 2021 behind 153 rushing yards and three scores from current Penn State running back Kaytron Allen.

East St. Louis is outscoring opponents by an average margin of victory of 34.6 points per contest en route to an 8-0 record.

American Heritage is just 4-4 this season but has played a brutal schedule and is just a few plays away from being undefeated. Dia Bell is putting together a tremendous junior campaign as he enters Friday's matchup with 2,079 yards passing and 24 touchdowns to go with 392 yards rushing and three more scores.

St. Thomas Aquinas is 7-2 led by senior signal caller Andrew Indorf, who has thrown for 1,548 yards with 25 total touchdowns.

Coming off its first loss of the season to Venice 27-20 last week, things won't get any easier for Clearwater Central Catholic this Friday as the Marauders face at talented St. Frances Academy team.
