            Softball Recap: Peak to Peak Pumas vs. Centaurus Warriors        
        
		
        
        
            Peak to Peak extended their losing streak  to four  on Saturday, dropping them down to 1-8. They came up short against  the Centaurus Warriors, falling  7-1. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Pumas of the  8-7 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture  back in September of 2024.
 Peak to Peak saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was  Haley Haskins, who  went 2-for-3 with one  triple.
As for Centaurus, the  win keeps them at an undefeated 5-0. Fans of they have seen this all before: every one of the games they've played this season has ended in a blowout of 6+  runs.
On Centaurus' side,  Nora Midness made a big impact while hitting and pitching. She looked comfortable on the mound,   not allowing a single  earned run while striking out ten over seven innings pitched. That's the most  strikeouts  Midness has posted since back in September of 2024. She was also big at the plate,  getting on base  in all four of her plate appearances with three  stolen bases, three  runs,  and two  RBI.
 In other batting news,  Kaitlyn Long and  Charlotte Crim did most of the damage at the plate:  Long  went 2-for-4 with two  stolen bases and two  runs, while  Crim  went 3-for-4 with one  stolen base, one  run,  and one  RBI. Long has been hot, having  posted  at least one  stolen base the last five times she's  played.  Morgan Sizemore also deserves some recognition as  she  hit her first  triple of the season.
 Looking ahead, Peak to Peak will challenge Platte Canyon at 4:30  p.m.  on Tuesday. As for Centaurus, they will square off against Boulder at 4:00  p.m.  on Tuesday. The Panthers have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 19  runs per game on average), something the Warriors will no doubt try to take advantage of.
