Football Game Preview: Skyline Coyotes vs. Browne Bruins

The Skyline Coyotes will challenge the Browne Bruins at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Skyline will be strutting in after a victory while Browne will be coming in after a defeat.

Skyline is headed in fresh off scoring the most points they have all season. They blew past South Mountain, posting a 48-19 win. The high-flying offensive performance was a huge turnaround for the Coyotes considering their six-point performance the contest before.

Caleb Wheeler had another great game (as he tends to do), rushing for 353 yards and three touchdowns while picking up 8.6 yards per carry. Those three rushing touchdowns gave him a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Owen Claridge, who threw for 82 yards and a pair of TDs.

They were just one part of a punishing run game: Skyline was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 376 rushing yards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now rushed for at least 171 rushing yards in three consecutive matchups.

Special teams also played a big role in the game for Skyline, adding 12 points to the final score. The biggest highlight from special teams (and perhaps the team as a whole) came courtesy of Dquantae 'DQ' Chandler, who ran a kickoff back for a touchdown.

Meanwhile, Browne was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They were dealt a 36-8 defeat at the hands of Willow Canyon. That's two games in a row now that the Bruins have lost by exactly 28 points.

Browne's loss dropped their record down to 0-4. As for Skyline, the victory got them back to even at 2-2.
