Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Chavez). They couldn't have asked for a better start to 2025 than the 45-12 blowout they got against the Bradshaw Christian The Pride. The Titans pushed the score to 33-9 by the end of the third, a deficit the The Pride had little chance of recovering from.

Chavez's win on Friday was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Paulina Sanchez, who posted 18 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Joyce Maykaela Castro, who put up ten points.

Despite the defeat, Bradshaw Christian saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Gianna Watkins had six points.

Chavez's victory ended an eight-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 3-16. As for Bradshaw Christian, their loss was their third straight at home, which dropped their record down to 1-9.

Chavez will take on Bear Creek on Tuesday. As for Bradshaw Christian, they wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next matchup, a 51-28 defeat against Futures on the 4th.
