Softball Recap: Troup County Triumphs

Troup County posted their closest win since October 8, 2024 on Saturday. They never let the Callaway Cavaliers get on the board and left with a 2-0 victory. The Tigers have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Cavaliers, too.

Kennedy McCoy looked comfortable as she pitched two innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. She has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't given up more than two walks in five consecutive appearances.

At the plate, the team relied heavily on Gracie Baker, who went 1-for-3 with one triple, one run, and one RBI. That triple was her first of the season.

Troup County's first win this season bumped their record up to 1-5. As for Callaway, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-6.
