Softball Recap: Eaglecrest Raptors vs. Fort Collins Lambkins
Eaglecrest proved they can win big on Friday (they won by 16) and on Friday they proved they can win the close ones too. They skirted past the Fort Collins Lambkins 7-6. The Raptors have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Lambkins, too.
Eaglecrest got a massive performance out of Lexi Barger, who went 2-for-3 with one home run, two runs, and two RBI. That's the most runs Barger has posted since back in September. The team also got some help courtesy of Ryleigh Stufft, who went 2-for-3 with two runs, one triple, and one RBI.
Eaglecrest has been performing well recently as they've won 14 of their last 17 contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 20-5 record this season. As for Fort Collins, their loss dropped their record down to 17-7-1.
Looking ahead, Eaglecrest will face off against Valor Christian at 10:00 a.m. on Friday.
