Baseball Game Preview: Marshall Eagles vs. Chadwick Dolphins

The Marshall Eagles will challenge the Chadwick Dolphins at 3:15 p.m. on Tuesday. Marshall is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 6.8 runs per game this season.

Marshall is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Thursday. They came out on top against Santa Rosa Academy by a score of 8-5.

David Ouch made a big impact while hitting and pitching. On the mound, he struck out eight batters over 5.2 innings while giving up just one earned (and three unearned) runs off nine hits. He has been consistent: he hasn't given up more than two walks in seven consecutive appearances. He was also big at the plate, getting on base in three of his five plate appearances with two runs. Marshall is 3-1 when Ouch posts two or more runs, but 7-14 otherwise.

Ouch wasn't the only one making solid contact as seven players wound up with at least one hit. One of them was Kaden Mullins, who went 2-for-4 with two RBI and one run.

Meanwhile, Chadwick beat Vasquez 6-1 on Thursday. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Dolphins.
