Basketball Game Preview: Galeton Tigers vs. Otto-Eldred Terrors

Galeton hasn't had much luck against Otto-Eldred recently, but that could start to change on Friday. The Tigers will take on the Terrors at 6:00 p.m.

It was a proper cat-fight when Galeton faced off against Northern Potter on Wednesday. The Tigers were beaten by the Panthers 44-6. While losing is never fun, the Tigers can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Pennsylvania basketball rankings (they are ranked 713th, while the Panthers are ranked 293rd).

Meanwhile, Otto-Eldred waltzed into their matchup on Thursday with 11 straight wins... but they left with 12. They strolled past the Panthers with points to spare, taking the game 59-41. The Terrors pushed the score to 47-27 by the end of the third, a deficit the Panthers cut but never quite recovered from.

Galeton's defeat dropped their record down to 0-19. As for Otto-Eldred, their win bumped their record up to 15-3.

Galeton was dealt a bruising 36-7 loss at the hands of Otto-Eldred when the teams last played back in December of 2025. That game was all but decided by halftime, at which point the Tigers were down 31-3.
