Baseball Game Preview: Prince Avenue Christian Wolverines vs. Apalachee Wildcats

The Prince Avenue Christian Wolverines will be defending their home field for the first time this season when they go up against the Apalachee Wildcats at 5:30 p.m. on Monday. Prince Avenue Christian will be strutting in after a victory while Apalachee will be coming in after a defeat.

On Saturday, Prince Avenue Christian earned a 6-3 win over LaGrange.

Judson Hartwell was a major factor while hitting and pitching. On the mound, he tossed one inning while giving up no earned runs off one hit. What's more, he also gave up only zero walks, the fewest he's had since back in April of 2024. He was even better at the plate, going 2-for-4 with one home run, three RBI, and one double.

In other pitching news, Ben Chatham looked comfortable as he tossed three innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit.

Hartwell wasn't the only one making solid contact as five players wound up with at least one hit. One of them was Eli Attaway, who scored a run and stole a base while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances. Cole Broxton was another, scoring two runs while going 2-for-3.

Meanwhile, Apalachee lost 10-2 to Dacula on Friday. The Wildcats have struggled against the Falcons recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive lost matchup.

Prince Avenue Christian now has a winning record of 2-1. As for Apalachee, their loss dropped their record down to 0-2.

Everything went Prince Avenue Christian's way against Apalachee when the teams last played back in February of 2024, as Prince Avenue Christian made off with a 7-0 victory.
