Basketball Recap: Philadelphia Military Academy Takes a Loss

Philadelphia Military Academy was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat dating back to last season. They received a blow as they fell 41-27 to the Franklin Learning Center Bobcats. The Knights lost against the Bobcats in their previous head to head back in January, too, but the margin this time around was much closer than the 57-13 score last time.

Franklin Learning Center's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Janai Richardson led the charge by putting up eight points. Ameira Thomas was another key player, posting seven points.

Philadelphia Military Academy's loss dropped their record down to 0-3. As for Franklin Learning Center, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 3-1.

Coincidentally, the two teams will both be playing First Philadelphia Prep the next time they take the court. Franklin Learning Center will head out to face First Philadelphia Prep at 3:15 p.m. on Wednesday, while Philadelphia Military Academy will head out to face them at 3:15 p.m. on January 8, 2025.
