Basketball Recap: Crossroads Christian Takes a Loss

Crossroads Christian lost against Packinghouse Christian Academy back in January of 2023, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Crossroads Christian Warriors were beaten by the Packinghouse Christian Academy Bears 59-7. The Warriors were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 39-3.

They got a good chunk of their points from the dynamic duo of Janissa Velasco and Aryanna Ahlrich, who each put up three points. Hannah Marquez held things down on the boards with 12 rebounds. Annalee El Rai took the lead distributing the ball, coming up with two assists.

This is the second loss in a row for Crossroads Christian and nudges their season record down to 0-2. As for Packinghouse Christian Academy, the win (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 5-3.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Crossroads Christian will challenge Norton Science & Language Academy at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. Crossroads Christian is facing Norton Science & Language Academy at the right time seeing as Norton Science & Language Academy is stuck on a four-game losing streak. As for Packinghouse Christian Academy, they will face off against The Grove School at 3:00 p.m. on Thursday.
