Basketball Recap: Piedmont Takes a Loss

It was a proper cat-fight when Piedmont took on Carson on Friday. The Panthers took a 61-48 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Cougars. That's two games in a row now that the Panthers have lost by exactly 13 points.

When it comes to explaining why Piedmont lost, don't look at Caleb Laszlo. Despite the final result, he posted 12 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Graham Blackman, who scored eight points and seven boards.

Piedmont's loss dropped their record down to 0-2.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Piedmont will host South Stanly at 7:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Carson, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Statesville at 7:30 p.m. on Monday.
