Softball Recap: Lafayette's Loss Ends 11-Game Winning Streak on the Road

LaFayette dropped to 24-5 on Thursday, ending the team's 11-game streak of wins on the road. They fell just short of the Murray County Indians by a score of 7-6. That's two games in a row now that the Ramblers have lost by just one run.

As for Murray County, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 9-16. That's two games straight that they have won by just one run.

For Murray County's part, Emerie Bohannon spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered four earned (and two unearned) runs on 13 hits. Bohannon has been consistent recently: she hasn't given up more than one walk in three consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, Blaklee Ledford was incredible, going a perfect 3-for-3 with one home run, three runs, and two RBI. Those two RBI gave her a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Callan Ledford, who went 2-for-4 with one home run and two runs.

As of now, neither LaFayette nor Murray County have any future games scheduled.
