Football Recap: Buna Starts Season with Loss at Home + How To Watch

Buna unfortunately couldn't capitalize on their home-field advantage in their season opener. They took a blow against the Bridge City Cardinals on Friday, falling 46-14. Sadly, the loss continues a streak the team started last season, making it seven in a row.

Hudson Hoffman had an outrageously good game for Bridge City as he threw for 161 yards and three TDs while completing 76.9% of his passes, and also punched in a pair of touchdowns on the ground. Abraham Munguia also helped with two scores in total.

Coming up, Buna will hit the road for the first time this season to square off against Brazos at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Bridge City, they will be defending their home field for the first time this season when they go up against Kirbyville at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
