Baseball Recap: Carver High School of Engineering & Science vs. Franklin Towne Warriors
Carver High School of Engineering & Science had lost six straight on the road dating back to last season, but on Tuesday they dropped their record down to 2-6 to make it seven. They fell just short of the Franklin Towne Warriors by a score of 6-5. The result was an unpleasant reminder to Carver High School of Engineering & Science of the 13-0 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in April of 2024.
As for Franklin Towne, the win was the seventh in a row for them, bringing their record up to 9-3. The victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.9 runs on average over those games.
For Franklin Towne's part, Shane Sliwinski looked comfortable as he struck out eight batters over four innings while giving up just one earned run off one hit. That's the most strikeouts Sliwinski has posted since back in April of 2024.
