Mission Hills had already proven themselves in the regular season and they didn't miss a beat now that it's playoff time. Their defense stepped up to hand the Carlsbad Lancers a 1-0 shutout on Thursday. Give the Grizzlies' defense some credit: that's the team's third straight shutout.

Their one-goal win came courtesy of Amanda Anders, who's now up to 19 this season.

Mission Hills' victory bumped their record up to 15-2. As for Carlsbad, their loss was their third straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 9-11.

Coming up, Mission Hills will be playing in front of their home fans against Mt. Carmel at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Carlsbad does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
