Game recap: Totino-Grace High School Football Team defeats Edina

EDINA, Minn. - Totino-Grace (Fridley, Minn.) grabbed a lead in the first quarter and rode that momentum to a 28-7 win over Edina (Minn.).

The Eagles scored seven points in the first quarter. Totino-Grace scored on a Kai Barber touchdown run.

After taking the lead on a touchdown run by Barber in the first quarter, TG led 14-7 at the half.

The Fridley school expanded its lead to 14 points entering the fourth quarter. The Eagles' lone score in the quarter came on a Ben Mezzenga touchdown run.



Edina's only touchdown came on a run in the second quarter.

In a non-conference game next week Edina (1-2) takes on Burnsville, and Totino-Grace (2-0) will go up against Eden Prairie also in a non-conference game.
