Softball Recap: Jenkins Takes a Loss

Jenkins was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They came up short against the East Hall Vikings, falling 17-3.

Jenkins saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Ma'Kaiyah Gray, who went 1-for-2 with one stolen base and one RBI. Gray is crushing it when it comes to stolen bases: she's snagged at least one every time she's taken the field this season. Jayda Groover was another, earning one run and three stolen bases.

Jenkins' loss dropped their record down to 0-4.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Jenkins will head out to face off against Brunswick at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday. As for East Hall, they will venture away from home to take on Banks County at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
