Basketball Game Preview: South El Monte Eagles vs. Arroyo Knights

The South El Monte Eagles are taking a road trip to challenge the Arroyo Knights at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Given that the two teams suffered a loss in their last games, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this match.

On Monday, South El Monte came up short against Rosemead and fell 49-42.

Meanwhile, Arroyo ended up a good deal behind Marshall on Monday and lost 38-22. The loss continues a trend for the Knights in their matchups with the Eagles: they've now lost six in a row.

Arroyo's defeat dropped their record down to 6-19. As for South El Monte, their loss ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 11-14.

Everything went South El Monte's way against Arroyo in their previous matchup back in January, as South El Monte made off with a 44-21 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for South El Monte since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
