Football Recap: Warrensburg Falls to Smith-Cotton in First Game of Season

Warrensburg kicked off their season on the road on Friday and hit a couple of potholes. They took a 17-7 hit to the loss column at the hands of Smith-Cotton. Warrensburg was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Smith-Cotton apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in August of 2024.

The critical scores for Smith-Cotton came from Armand Wright and Dax Wiskur.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Warrensburg will head out to take on Cameron at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Smith-Cotton, they will venture away from home to square off against Rock Bridge at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The match will give the Tigers their first taste of in-conference action this season.
